Ninestiles ITT Consortium & BPTP has over ten years of experience as an accredited centre for Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) and is recognised by Ofsted and in The Good Teacher Training Guide as delivering strong provision. We are responsible for the recruitment and appointment of trainees.
At interview, we seek to realise individuals’ potential in becoming outstanding teachers. It is vital that all trainees make a positive contribution to learning in the classroom from the outset of the course. Every aspect of the training programme therefore focuses upon the progress of the pupils, and the progress of the trainees, to ensure that an environment for learning is established. Our Partner schools and School Based Mentors are committed to providing trainees with outstanding first-hand experience from a range of outstanding practitioners. In school, trainees will experience exciting, innovative and challenging opportunities, giving them the best quality range of developing practice.
The initial training year is the first step towards a lifelong career of professional development; Ninestiles ITT Consortium & BPTP are dedicated to provide ongoing development opportunities and training during the NQT year and RQT year … and beyond to secure individuals early career entry and their opportunities into leadership. With 100% of our trainees going into full time teaching posts upon qualification, everyone has a fantastic starting point.
At Ninestiles ITT Consortium & BPTP, we specialise in offering three different routes into teaching; School Direct, School Direct Salaried and Core provider-led allocations. We lead on all routes in exactly the same manner with the outcome for all to qualify with QTS and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Level 7), which holds the potential to contribute towards the full Masters Degree in Educational Innovation, accredited by Birmingham City University. We endeavour to bespoke the course structure to suit your development needs and experience.
All of our courses are full-time and will run from September to July. We deliver all of our routes as school-led provision, meaning that you are learning from real teachers in real classrooms from day one in your main placement school. Once a week trainees attend Ninestiles ITT Consortium & BPTP’s training suite for professional studies where we utilize a vast directory of system leaders and experienced, leading practitioners to cover content to fully prepare you for school life which include: Professional Development, Behaviour, Inclusion, Special Educational Needs (SEN), Numeracy and Literacy, Assessment for Learning as well as many other key areas such as a range of educational settings. The majority of your training will be through working in classrooms, whereby trainees will be able to see the theory put into practice.
